Altran and Sanofi support Wild Card challenge regarding mental and brain health

French Partners get behind 2019 challenges

Altran and Sanofi, two core EIT Health partners from France, are supporting one of the two challenges laid out for this year’s EIT Health Wild Card programme: mental and brain health. Wild Card is a game-changing health innovation programme pioneered by EIT Health.

Through a process of selection and training set to last until July 2019, teams are chosen to address key healthcare challenges that have been put forth by EIT Health Partners.

The teams who win a competitive selection process will receive world class business mentoring and €2 million in funding over two years, to support them in pursuing health innovations.

This year, Wild Card will focus on two challenges: mental and brain health, and digital biomarkers in diagnostics. entrepreneurs, scientists, medical professionals, technical experts and researchers who want to take up the challenges can apply until 10 February 2019.

The Wild Card programme is supported by EIT Health partners who have a great deal of experience with the European health market. This year, the teams who take up the mental and brain health challenge will be supported by Altran and Sanofi.

Eric Rebiffe, Directeur Emploi Territorial, Sanofi Développement of Sanofi, a core partner of EIT Health, said: “Wild Card provides a unique opportunity for top talent in Europe to learn what it takes to be a successful and innovative start up. Working with EIT Health, partners like ourselves, are supporting the Wild Card participants entrepreneurial journey in order to deliver new solutions to the healthcare system in France and across Europe.”

According to Xavier Duburcq, Group Vice President Life Sciences Altran first of all this is an opportunity to gather European talents, “The European market has a rich potential of ideas for the future of medicine. The Wild Card program gives the opportunity to gather talents from all over Europe to develop innovative healthcare solutions of tomorrow.”
